FOR THE SAKE OF THE HIVE
By Madhuri Shekar
Directed by Jeffrey Lo
What if all the bees abandoned their Queen? In this high-stakes environmental drama, best friends Sanam and Ariel, PhD candidates from India and the U.S., research the collapse of bee colonies worldwide, dreaming they might collapse the glass ceiling of academia. When a flaw emerges in their research, their friendship, careers, and even an arranged marriage are at risk. With ecological disaster on the horizon, should they withdraw their findings or compromise them to protect the planet?
Single tickets for this performance will be available in early June.

The parking lot at the Lucie Stern Community Center is under partial construction, and can only be entered from the rear of the theatre, near the intersection of Hopkins Avenue and Harriet Street. While there are parking spaces available, they are somewhat limited, so we recommend giving yourself an additional half hour to find a spot in the streets of the surrounding neighborhood. For patrons with mobility issues, we recommend utilizing the drop-off area at the front of the Community Center, at the corner of Middlefield Road and Melville Avenue.View Seat Map
