Introducing TheatreWorks' Susan Fairbrook Core Writers Group
TheatreWorks is committed to nurturing and amplifying the voices of local theatre artists, including playwrights. To that end, we’re launching the Susan Fairbrook Core Writers Group, a cohort of Bay Area-based writers at various stages in their careers.
Over the course of eight months, this group will come together for regularly scheduled gatherings to share their own work and provide feedback to their peers. The program will culminate in an open reading of the works they’ve developed.

The Writers’ retreat
In the decade before the Susan Fairbrook Core Writers Group was formed, TheatreWorks hosted an annual week-long Writers’ Retreat to provide our family of artists the much needed time, space, and resources to refine the next draft of their new play or musical.
