TheatreWorks is committed to engaging our diverse community through Arts Education, Community Partnerships, and Inclusive Collaboration.
Our mission is to develop programming that invests in the voices and experiences of our various communities. We work from a place of abundance, believing in the power of theatre as a transformational tool. We encourage collaboration across communities, and empower individuals to be agents of change in our collective future. We are always asking the question, how are we in service of our community?
Through accessible workshops, residencies, internships, civic salons, student matinees, touring productions, and other events, we seek to build intentional relationship with our Silicon Valley neighbors.
Our work is fun, innovative, and filtered through the lens of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.
The plays on our stage are in conversation with each other, to tell a story of who we are. The Directors Series invites our directors to be in conversation about their work, what moves them, and how they inspire each other. Tune in for our digital conversations.
Teaching Artists work with patients at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, the Comprehensive Eating Disorders Unit, and families staying at the Ronald McDonald House while receiving care.
These low-cost, daytime performances are held specially for school groups, offering youth in our community the chance to engage with stories we tell onstage amid an audience of their peers.
