A NOTE ON THE SETTING
From Director Jeffrey Lo
One of the aspects of setting Little Shop of Horrors in San Francisco Chinatown that excited me the most was the chance to explore this Faustian story through the lens of the diversity found within the Chinatown community and their surrounding neighborhoods. We are by no means wanting to equate Skid Row with Chinatown but are setting our Little Shop in an older alleyway within greater Chinatown where people might find themselves struggling with the weight of economic burdens like the characters of our story.
