We are still standing—and that means something powerful.

Last year, in a moment of real uncertainty, you helped us rise. Because of your support, TheatreWorks has not only survived—we’ve come back stronger, more focused, and more committed than ever to our mission.

This season, we relaunched our education programs. We supported 14 incredible playwrights through our Susan Fairbrook Core Writers Group. And we’re commissioning new work from some of the most celebrated artists in the country—including Lauren Gunderson, whose “Little Women”, in conjunction with three other regional theatre companies, will have its world premiere at TheatreWorks before it hits stages across the nation.

But none of this happens without you.

In May, we received word that our grant from the National Endowment for the Arts had been pulled. Accepting it would have meant compromising on our values—specifically, giving up our commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We said no. Other major funders are also shifting away from supporting the arts. Which means that you—our audience, our community, our believers—are now more essential than ever.

As we approach our June 30 fiscal year-end, I ask you to make a gift that boldly affirms your belief in what TheatreWorks stands for: Art that includes. Stories that connect. Education that inspires. A future that reflects the full beauty of our community.

We’ve come this far because of your courage and your generosity. With your continued support, we will keep growing. We will keep telling the stories that matter.
