Current Safety Protocols

The safety of our patrons, artists, and staff is always our first priority. These are our most recent health and safety policies, updated May 2023. Protocols may be revised if conditions change.

Masks Are Optional at Most Performances

After the federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 come to a close on May 11, 2023, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley lifted mask requirements at most performances.

Though the spread of COVID-19 in our area has slowed, we recognize that there are still members of our community who prefer or need a masked environment for health safety purposes. To that end, we will continue to designate select performances for each production where masks will be required for all attendees.

If you have already purchased tickets and would like to change your performance date to one with different mask requirements, please reach out to us at 877.662.8978 or boxoffice@theatreworks.org to let us know as soon as possible. We would be happy to accommodate you.

Refund and Exchange Policy

We know that your level of comfort with attending indoor events can change from moment to moment. That’s okay!

Ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, if you are feeling unwell or are not comfortable attending your scheduled performance for any reason, you have the following options:

  • Subscribers may exchange their tickets to a different date, time, or show any time prior to the start of their performance with no additional fees. If you are exchanging into a more expensive performance or seat—like moving from a weeknight to a weekend or moving from Gold to Platinum—you will need to pay the difference in price.

  • Non-subscribers may exchange their tickets for a different date in the show’s run for a fee of $5 per ticket.

  • All ticketholders may choose to instead donate the value of their tickets for a tax-deductible receipt.

Please reach out to the Box Office at 1.877.662.8978 or boxoffice@theatreworks.org to make arrangements.

AIR FILTRATION

The Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts is using the highest level and quality of air filters. The system brings in 75% outside air and utilizes new MERV 11 air filters.

The Lucie Stern Theatre is using the highest level and quality of air filters. The filters themselves are MERV 13. The air is exchanged at least six times per hour, and 50% of circulated air is outside air.

If you need further assistance, please reach out to our patron services team for accommodations.
