Arts Engagement leads TheatreWorks’ commitment to engage our diverse community through Arts Education, Community Partnerships, and Inclusive Collaboration.
Our mission is to develop programming that invests in the voices and experiences of our various communities. We work from a place of abundance, believing in the power of theater as a transformational tool. We encourage collaboration across communities. And empower individuals to be agents of change in our collective future. We are always asking the question, how are we in service of our community?
Through accessible workshops, residencies, internships, civic salons, student matinees, touring productions, and other events; we seek to build intentional relationship with our Silicon Valley neighbors.
Our work is fun, innovative, and filtered through the lens of equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.

What's Happening Now?
This series provides high school students the opportunity to interview professional artists in their areas of interest. Whether that be acting, singing, dancing, directing, scenic or costume design, props building, or other areas of artistic and technical theatre, Opening the Curtain gives students one-on-one direct access to converse with professionals about their careers, passions, and unique journeys through the arts. For more information, or to sign up for your chance to interview a professional in your chosen field, please CLICK HERE.
Due to the pandemic and in flux recommendations by the CDC and California government, TheatreWorks is currently in the process of developing a summer curriculum for our students and local communities. Please watch this space for continued updates as we put together something special, just for you!
